Rotary club Khadki, Pune has more than three decades history of social work especially in area of Health. It is an organization with well-honed social conscience that shows up in the outreach programs it has undertaken. It was the strong belief of a group of Compassionate members of this club that our journey began.

SAAD (Support of all abled differently) is an established charitable trust working in area of special education and developed the concept of home schools. Mrs. Sunita Lele founder and principal trustee has vast experience in special education to train children, parents and Caregivers.

Rotary club of Khadki Pune believed and supported the training activities in field of special education undertaken by SAAD. This constant support and encouragement of Rotary club led to realize the dream of the Parents group to create a residential facility with complete care for children with ASD.

The Parents group pooled in resources and bought land admeasuring 3 acres. A charitable trust was formed comprising members from Rotary club Khadki, SAAD and Parents group. The Parents group donated 65000 square feet land for the institution. The Parents group again contributed a generous amount to ARC for the construction of residential part of the institution. This initiative to form ARC has been solely possible because of generous assistance and encouragement given by TATA Hendrickson suspensions Pvt. Ltd. A joint venture between Hendrickson of Australia and a leading company from TATA group of India. The Strong belief and continuous support of Rotary club Khadki (Pune), Experience of SAAD and determination of Parents makes unique Combination and Strong foundation of Autism Research and Training Centre (ARC) The inclusion of individuals from Lower socioeconomic segment makes ARC a committed Social organization. Located amidst 8000 houses in a gated community adds to its feature of inclusiveness. Being a Parent led Centre, ARC can relate to any family with a child having disability and anticipate their needs. Their rich understanding and passionate commitment to the project is a huge asset in itself.
